“55F or 32F???? Why do I see answers from Frigidaire saying that this fridge works down to 32F & 55F? Which is it? Will it work in a garage with super cold temps or not and if not, why is it anything special for a garage?”

The owners manual I received for this refrigerator is a generic one & it also says 32C & 55°F! Which isn't good for a garage! But this model has a separate temperature control in the freezer and that is what makes it good for a garage! I had a regular refrigerator and freezer in Colorado! The garage got very cold and whenever it got very cold everything would defrost in the freezer! So if you weeks ago we had many days below freezing in my garage and I was checking the freezer and refrigerator temperature often and although it was a little higher than expected, nothing defrosted!

The freezer will cool down to 32F and the fridge will cool down to 55F. It will work in a very cold garage but it probably won't have to work as hard as if it were in a very hot garage.
