It does have a secondary thermostat to adjust the freezer separately from the fridge. I have mine in a cold garage and keep the freezer thermostat set to the coldest setting, and so far everything is staying frozen solid. The Best Buy sales rep told me that for 2015 Frigidaire included that garage kit pre-installed with all models. I could not verify that anywhere else, but I did read elsewhere that the unit now has two thermostats, which I can verify and confirm that cold garage functionality is great so far.

Yes, this model as mentioned in the Owner's Manual has a "Garage" setting on the temperature control switch inside the appliance. This setting allows the refrigerator to be operational in a garage as long as the temperature does not go below 32ºF preferrably. This appliance may still function if the temperature is below 32ºF but you may see a slight difference in the overall performance.
