“Is the frigidaire 1821QW 6A a garage ready refrigerator? If so, the owners manual that came with it states it needs to have a garage ready kit installed if temps below 50. If this is already installed where is the switch located to switch to garage use?”

There are different models being discussed in these questions about garage readiness. FFTR1821QB and FFTR1821QS are garage ready. FFTR1821QW needs the garage kit for temperatures between 32 and 55 degrees. Take note of the last letter in the model numbers above.

Yes, this model as mentioned in the Owner's Manual has a "Garage" setting on the temperature control switch inside the appliance. This setting allows the refrigerator to be operational in a garage as long as the temperature does not go below 32ºF preferrably. This appliance may still function if the temperature is below 32ºF but you may see a slight difference in the overall performance.
