QuestionWhy does a moderately priced fridge come without an ice maker? The whirlpool I bought from Best Buy 18 years ago for ~ 400 bucks looks and works like new. But the ice maker went. And now ANY fridge with an ice maker is no less than 1,200 bucks! WHY?

- Answer And back 18 years ago bread was 50 cents, and now it's 2 to 5 dollars. My mom's refrigerator she had in the basement was over 40 plus years and work like a charm, it died last year, nothing lasts or is made like it use to be. With ice makers your price depending on size of refrigerator Should be around 750 to 1200. I believe it's call inflation

- Answer I had no service calls, or issues with this model. Works great, keeps everything cool/frozen like it should. Just remember it is NOT a garage ready refrigerator, mine is in the basement and have had no problems.

QuestionWe bought a FFTR2021TW Frigidaire 20.4 cu ft refrigerator for our garage, it was delivered 11/3/2017. We told the salesman it was going in a garage and he said this model was garage ready. Now it does not cool right and there is no heater for it.

- Answer Yes they can be switched, but you need to let them know st the store because it’s another charge because it takes longer at the install. I know this because I asked them just incase my fridge didn’t fit where I wanted it to go.
