Hi, Shelly! The freezer compartment doesn't include a light. The doors are easy to open and have an auto-close feature that will ensure that your doors are never left open by automatically closing once the door is open 5" or less. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is no light in freezer. I have no problem opening the door. That being said, I would think a small child or weak elderly person might have some difficulty. What I like is I don’t have to worry about handles coming loose or the door not closing. You have to push it thoroughly to close it. That way it won’t be left open accidentally. However, I do miss using the handle to hold a dish towel :-)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No light in freezer. Doors are not difficult to open but also are not self-closing and tend to quickly swing all the way out if not held. Otherwise, I am pretty satisfied with this unit.
