“Can I use this as a standalone in my kitchen even though it's a 'built-in'? I did not want to have this installed in between cabinets. My kitchen has a large storage closet where all the pipes for the dishwasher are. Can I put the dishwasher in the storage closet by itself? I did not want to purchase a portable.”

• yes you can but you need to secure it somehow so it doesn't tip over when you open up the door.
