“Is it flat in back or are there coils?”

• The back is flat although the bottom 1/3 is open and the coils are inside although they do not protrude out form the back at all. You are supposed to keep all side 5" from the walls anyway.

• It is flat, but has am opening for the coils to breath. It will sit up against a wall.

• Yes it is. The coils are tucked underneath the backing.
