I feel as if reviews are the most important thing, aside from details and specifications, to look at when deciding on purchasing a product. Yes things can look good on paper but we as customers are responsible in helping our fellow consumers in purchasing products. Therefore my opinion is based on my experience from looking, to purchasing, to actually using this product. I was looking for the perfect product to buy for my dorm. I had an awful experience sharing a fridge with my roommates in the previous years so I decided to go mini fridge shopping. I looked on every website possible and I only looked at products with four stars or more. Many people try to go the easy route and stop by walmart and choose one but I wanted to spend money on something that was going to last. I read every review on the top brands that were under the price of three hundred dollars. Again I am a college student. I wanted something with a freezer and a fridge for those late at night ice cream cravings and this is what I found. This by far beat every other model I was looking at. Size, storage, temperature. Temp was a big issue when searching products. They either did not get cold enough or got too cold. This keeps my freezer items frozen and my cooler items cold with no icing. It is not loud at all. I mean it is a fridge. It need to make some noise. I can fit almost a whole pack of soda, a half gallon of milk, a quarter gallon of orange juice, cold cuts and that is just on the door. I can fit so much food and leftovers in the fridge its amazing. I went grocery shopping and was afraid i bought too much but I didn't. Everything fit. The shelving comes out so if you need more space it is perfect. Now the freezer. It is massive. I fit two containers of Edy's ice cream and had tons of other food in there. Now I keep saying there is tons of room but that does not mean I am trying to say it is too big. It is perfect. Same size as the ones my University provides. It fits like a glove under the dorm beds and gives enough room to open the doors. I have had excellent experience but that is because I know what needs to be done when buying a fridge and they do not list rules and guidelines in setting up the fridge. Make sure you have it sitting upright at all times even when transporting. If you do not then leave it sit for a day before plugging in. Then turn it on and leave it. Do not move it around. We do not do that to our fridge at home and we should not be doing it all the time with this one. I have moved it twice and it was fine to plug right back in. Do not plug into an extension cord. It needs to be plugged into the wall. It needs room to breath so do not have it completely surrounded or your temperature will not work how it is meant to. I am very happy with this product and would not switch it for anything else. There isn't a reason to search further. I know whats out there. I have done it. The reviews are the best in any store you look and the product is amazing for the price. Just an FYI the product always goes on sale at some point so look for the sales.

    great freezer, ok fridge

purchased for student's dorm room. he really wanted the larger separate freezer, so we purchased this model. attractive design, good shelf layout, some will like can dispenser; per instructions, after plugging in, need to let unit sit for a day to allow coolant to circulate and temps to stabilize; freezer easily gets below zero to -20 near max cold setting; single control for freezer and fridge makes it difficult to balance temps - no fan, fridge seems to be dependent on spill-over from freezer; as expected, items closer to freezer get colder, items in door not so cold; temp in fridge varies wildly and and door temp approaches 40 degrees if opened frequently; well known consumer magazine ratings on the 2-door mini fridges are quite accurate freezer is great, fridge is acceptable for intended use. without a need or desire for the large freezer, a cube unit would may suffice; bought during a good back-to-school sale and this reflects my value score

I used the reviews in Best Buy, I also researched on the internet for reviews before purchasing this product. It had some of the highest reviews, "this product is outstanding!" Having a separate freezer from the refrigerator is essential for what I use this refrigerator for. There isn't as much space in the refrigerator part but, I just purchase more goods when I'm on the road. I used this refrigerator to replace the one in my camper, a slide in camper. Replacement refrigerator for the camper was $1500. I purchase this from Best Buy for $159.00. I brought it home and plugged it in, it started cooling immediately, after about a day, I checked it, and had to turn it down, because it began to freeze the pop, I had turned it all the way up to see how cold the refrigerator would get, it exceeded my expectations.

Quiet, but does not maintain freezer temperature

I have been looking for a 2 door mini fridge and have tried many different models such as kenmore and GE. This fridge was the quietest among them. However, the freezer does not maintain temperature well. It would fluctuate from -10 to 15 degrees with poor consistency while the fridge would maintain 38-42. The temperature control does not work well. It does work as in it makes the fridge colder, but then the compressor still does not turn back on until the freezer reaches 10-15 degrees which defeats the purpose. The kenmore fluctuates even more than this fridge and is louder. The GE fridge actually maintained proper temperatures with -10 to 0 degrees and 35-39 for the freezer and fridge, respectfully but it was just too loud for my bedroom. I will be returning this fridge and will continue the quest for the perfect bedroom 2 door mini fridge.

Priced dropped almost $100.00 30 days after I purchased this frig. I asked Best buy to give me credit and they refused as I am not an elite member. That is BS as far as I am concerned and I will look elsewhere for products for the future. The Best Buy Membership I have means nothing, just points building up with no customer service to back it up. Next year I will look elsewhere for tech support I am boycotting Best Buy. I went in there two days ago to shop for a sound bar as the Geek Squad suggested I do, and to my amazement, the TV Customer Service representatives know nothing about the sound bars, had to go on line to look up whether or not sound bars have a headset port...Aux port is a headset port, hello!! Give me a break!! Know your merchandise, or go back to the stockroom!! Fry's here I come and I am going to try Wayfair on line. I will not be loyal to Best Buy, I have had nothing but problems since my Dad, God bless him, bought my Surface from them...they couldn't even get a $2,500.00 purchase right! What can they do? Not sure, haven't seen any signs of competence!

I needed a small refrigerator for my skin products, to make it last longer. The downside 1. there is no extra divider you can only use 2, 2. There is only one temperature regulator so you don't have any control on what the freezer temp is, You just have to estimate since it only says min-max. 3. Make sure that you check the drain container because it's not self draining. Though I noticed that at times the refrigerator would have some water on the sides but would freeze immediately (I guess that's the fault of having one temp. regulator) Otherwise this item is a good buy especially for college students (dorms), plus its frigidaire (this is their specialty). When I bought mine there was a dent on it so I had to return and replace it. I think it's a shipment issue. Best Buy cerritos Staff and manager ( I think his name is Carmel). Who really took time to listen and understand my situation. Kudos to you guys. I am not sure if I explained it right and hopefully what I wrote would help other buyers. I would have bought kitchen aid but they are too expensive.

Full disclosure...the first one of these I bought I had to return because the temperature in the refrigerator wouldn't get colder than 40 degrees. Thankfully I was able to return it to Best Buy and they hooked me up with a new one, and I have to say, this one works much better! The fridge easily gets between like 35-40 degrees and the freezer easily gets below 0. The only thing I dont really like about this is that the shelves are pretty much in a fixed position, so you cant move them up or down. The only thing you can do is remove them. So, depending on what you are storing in your fridge, it might be a minor nuisance. For example, you won't be able to store bottles of water unless you lay them on their side, or remove a shelf. Other than that small gripe, this fridge seems to work as advertised and looks good too! Just make sure to monitor the temperature in it with a good refrigerator thermometer.

I was looking for a combo fridge/freezer that fit within the size constraints of my university, and this one looked perfect. I had not seen any reviews before purchasing, but it looked perfect so I but the bullet. I was not disappointed. This fridge is maazing for what I need it for, which is mostly storage of drinks and snacks. There is plenty of room in the fridge, so even with two whole cases of soda there is room for more. The freezer also has room for a few ice trays, and probably a couple packs of frozen meals, though I have not yet stocked it full. My one complaint with the fridge is that the drink tray in the door does not work very well, and it is quite difficult to actually get drinks out of it. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with this purchase.
