Whenever I purchase items of this nature, I always opt for the safety of in-store warranties; that is, making sure I have the store associated warranty in addition to the product warranty that come with the product... the manufacture usually will have spare parts that can be acquired easily, but without the know how to institute repairs on my own, spare parts is a misnomer, unless it is something simple, like a replacement part for a shelf or a door.
