What is this bottom tray for? null

TO CATCH THE WATER THAT LEAKS OUT

Seems to be just baffles to make a certain amount of cold air come into the main space of the refrigerator from the cooling coils for the freezer.

There is no bottom tray. Unless you're talking about the tray under the chill box! It's drip tray for the chill box.
