• I recommend placing a small plastic mat like a clear desk top cover under the appliance. Even though it's not required, I prefer to allow easy ventilation all around the appliance.

• Hello shirah! We would recommend installing the refrigerator FFPE33B1QM onto a flat and leveled surface. Any improper leveling of the refrigerator could cause the door to not close or the seal to not hold properly. Hopefully this information is helpful to your shopping experience. –Thanks!-

• Personally, I say "NO" but Accidents Do Happen. If Protection Of The Carpet Is Major Concern For Leaks ~ Then I Would Get A "Metal Container With 1/2 Lip For Possible Leaks. But I do not think you should have any concerns for leaks with the New Freg:
