• A:Answer Hi Peter! The Frigidaire 36″ convertible hoods allow installation in external venting or recirculating (non-ducted) mode. The charcoal filter for recirculation comes included with the hood; you don’t need the separate FHWRKT55LS kit unless you want extra replacement filters. The FHWRKT55LS is not required, but is sold separately for replacements or as an alternative accessory. - Maico
