If you’re running this on “Dry mode,” it acts as a dehumidifier and you will need to drain the water out. Otherwise, you don’t need a drip pan/hose to drain the water. So far my portable ac system has been pretty reliable (1-2 months since purchase), but I always recommend purchasing a warranty from Best Buy.

You may purchase one through your local retailer. The draining instructions can be found in the Use and Care Guide on page 21.
