As long as the air conditioner is installed properly in a location that provides the electrical requirements, you shouldn’t need to worry about a breaker tripping. This is a 1050-Watt model that has a rating of 115 volts and 9 amps. The air conditioner should be plugged directly into a standard non-GFCI outlet and will need to be the only appliance connected to the circuit. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It draws 9 amps, so if it’s on a circuit with a 15 amp breaker, you could theoretically have other things plugged into the same circuit up to 6 amps total at any given time that the unit is running, and it shouldn’t trip the breaker. I had to figure out which outlets in my house were on the same circuit/breaker, and move some things around, because initially it was on the same circuit as my (large) toaster oven & together they tripped the breaker. So it depends how n how your outlets are wired.
