Hello Dors180! With the temperature knob set to 3, this puts the refrigerator and the freezer at the suggested temperature of 37 and 0 degrees, respectfully. -Kiara
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is no way, none that the default setting of '3' will keep the temperature at 37 degrees (refrigerator) and 0 degrees for the freezer. I have mine set at No. 6 and there are great fluctuations in the temperature range. The compressor runs for long periods and is off for long periods in what some may refer to as a 'dead zone'. There is moisture when the default setting is used at "3". When one turns up the temperature dial, the moisture will become frost.
