Hi there, valued consumer! Based on the Frigidaire manual for the 10,000 BTU smart window AC that cools about 450 sq. ft. (such as model FHWW104WD1), the remote control is a simple button remote and normally does NOT have its own LCD temperature display. The temperature and settings are shown on the air conditioner’s control panel display, not on the remote. The unit’s digital display shows the set temperature during operation. The remote control simply sends commands (power, mode, fan, temperature up/down, etc.). The instructions for operating the unit say the same steps apply to both the control panel and the remote, meaning the remote duplicates the buttons but does not act as a separate thermostat display. What This Means for Your Question - No, the remote for this model normally does NOT show: - The room temperature at the remote - The set temperature on an LCD screen - Yes, that is normal for this model. - Many other Frigidaire AC models have remotes with LCDs or a “Follow Me/Remote Sensor” feature, which is probably the type you had before. - Maico
