Here’s a helpful troubleshooting guide you can follow to try and fix your Frigidaire 5.1 Cu. Ft. Freestanding Gas Range oven: Check Power Supply Make sure the range is plugged in securely. Check your home’s circuit breaker or fuse box to ensure the breaker hasn’t tripped. Inspect the Oven Light Bulb The oven light bulb might be burned out—replace it with a compatible appliance bulb (usually 40 watts, appliance-grade). To access the bulb, turn off the power, open the oven door, and remove the bulb cover inside the oven. Verify the Oven Igniter For gas ovens, the igniter lights the burner. If it’s faulty, the oven won’t heat. Listen for clicking sounds or watch for the igniter glowing when you turn the oven on. A weak or non-glowing igniter likely needs replacement. Check the Oven Control Settings Make sure you have set the oven to the correct mode (Bake, Broil, etc.) and temperature. Try resetting the oven by unplugging it for a few minutes and plugging it back in. Door Switch or Sensor Issue The oven light often depends on a door switch. If the light and oven don’t respond when the door opens, this switch might be faulty. Call for Service If these steps don’t fix the problem, it might be an issue with the control board, thermostat, or gas valve. - Jessica
