This unit would definately work for the size of your window, and as far as the btu rating a 5000 btu unit will usually work for bedrooms up to 10x15 or so. Other factors to consider would be if you have multiple large windows or if you have high celings. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.other factors include ceiling height. you need to measure cubic feet not sqr feet. if youur w room is 29 x 29 thats almost 900 sqr feet. you'll need about 15,000 btu or stronger depending on ventilation and ceiling height.
