• The unit has a GCI plug. It needs to be in a grounded (3 prong ) outlet. Any appliance that has any moisture needs to be grounded.

• Hi read the manuel but I thinkthe hose has to be only so long. I think a regular 3 prong plug is necessary. I had it hard wired to the panel in the basement.
