• I can confirm that the buttons in front are printed and not lighted. The lettering is printed and there is no backlight for them. If the kitchen is completly dark, all you'd see is the time shining out. That being said, I've never had any issue with using this microwave in low light, but if your kitchen is pitch dark, you wont be able to see the buttons.
