Hi, George786! Thank you for this inquiry. The installation instruction advised 30" (76.2 cm) minimum clearance from the top of the microwave cabinet to the surface of the cooktop. If we're going to subtract the product height of the microwave from 15 5/8", it requires 14.375 inches minimum clearance from the bottom of the microwave cabinet to the surface of the cooktop.
