“Is the stainless steel really smudge proof? Many say they are but when polishing it streaks. I clean houses and see many stainless steel refrigerators that claim to be smudge and streak free when actually they are not! I have tried every product! Thanks!”

Pretty much. Not easily smudged. Definitely streak free.
