Recording 4K video will stop at 15 minutes and will not restart automatically, but you can press record again to record for 15 minutes each time. However, mine sometimes overheats before it reaches that point and shuts off before then. The overheat warning for mine comes on at about 8 minutes. Also, it gives you a countdown from 15:00.
