• Depends on your game. If you're playing a game that requires wifi yes, you need to connect to wifi. If your playing a game that does not require wifi, you don't need to connect to wifi.

• Yes and no, you can play your general offline games like minecraft but you could play games like fortnite. And if you wanted to it would require a mobile hotspot or wifi from the area
