It only activates after several loud barks. When my boxer snores and talks it doesn't goes off.

I would say that the collar may vibrate your dog's "vocal cords" with snoring & grumbling only because it vibrates my dog SOMETIMES when he's eating and the collar is set to a higher intensity. The neat feature about this collar is that you can adjust the level of intensity of the vibrations to where the lower or lowest levels won't bother the dog as much, but the dog may bark; you have to test each level to see which level your pet responds to. I only put the collar on when my dog is outside. So yes, with higher intensity, it may vibrate a snoring or grumbling dog so it may be better to adjust the setting to the lowest intensity while the dog is sleeping and a higher intensity while awake and barking. Or, only put the collar on when awake.
