“Is it hard to charge this GPS, if you can only charge it in the car? If it's supposed to take 6 hours to fully charge, how can that happen when I only take short drives? If you only use it once a week, or even less, will the battery die?”

It only comes with a car charger and it charges anytime you are using it . As long as you plug it in while you are using it , you will not have any trouble with the battery
