When viewing the raw files inside the memory card of your Dash Cam enabled device, unsaved video files will appear as 1 minute long fragments. However, viewing the unsaved video footage using the VIRB app will appear as one contiguous file for each recording session. This Garmin FAQ gives additional details about saved video files: https://support.garmin.com/faqSearch/en-US/faq/content/nSiqgPiZYB5NJQpkUMNPkA Thanks, James
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not that I could see, but if you download the Garmin VIRB App to your phone or Tablet and work with it for awhile, you may be able to achieve what you want.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not that I can see in the Owner's Manual (PDF). There are no settings shown that control this.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.James (Mr Garmin), if there is no way of creating a file for a commute that can be viewed on a laptop (or burned to DVD) for longer than 60second increments then this device is useless and I will be returning it. 60second snippets are useless for court re a protracted traffic incident.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not found a way to record segments for more than 1 minute. I believe "incidents" are recorded in separate files which may be more than 1 minute but it depends on how you set up incident recording options. If you put in a micro SD card larger than 4 GB into the camera slot, you'll be able to record more segments but I doubt that a larger capacity micro SD card will record longer segments.
