Good question. Yes, the DriveSmart 61 LMT-S will require the use of a compatible traffic receiver power cable if the Smartphone Link live traffic is not used. Both the GTM 60™ and the GTM™ 36 traffic receiver power cables are compatible with the DriveSmart 61 LMT-S. So if your other Garmin used one of these cables, you can absolutely use it! Thanks, James
