“For the Garmin Drive Smart 55, is the USB cable also the charging power cable? If I have an older car, that does not have USB ports, will this work in my car?”

• This unit should work in your vehicle as long as you have the standard power outlets (like they used to use for cigarette lighters). The GPS comes with a USB cable and a car accessory cable. I plug my Garmin Drive Smart 55 into the standard power outlet. I only use the USB cable to connect the unit to my computer to do software updates.

• This model will work in most vehicles. It includes a Vehicle suction cup mount to attach the GPS to your vehicle’s windshield and a vehicle power cable that connects to the vehicle’s cigarette lighter/power port.
