“How long does the battery last? I had mine charged up, then drove with it on "view map" mode, no programmed driving, and the battery went to 1/4 charge yellow life in about 45 minutes and it dimmed the display.”

Battery only lasts about an hour without being plugged in. You should have it plugged in while driving.
