There are a couple of things to consider regarding a Onstar replacement: Emergency calling, cellphone calling & navigation. Without a cellphone, the Garmin DriveSmart 76 is fantastic for navigation. You can set it up to connect to your home WiFi to get the map updates or directly by a USB cable to your computer. The first two features of Onstar, it can not replace. For those features, I would suggest contacting your Chevy Dealer to see about any upgrades to, what I'm guessing, would be a modem upgrade from 3G to either 4LTE or 5G. I know many alarm companies have done the same. So I would hope Chevy could do the same. Hope this helps.
