Hello LJ, The watch will not count how many reps you have done but it can track your heart rate when doing your weight lifting activities. The sleep tracking on the fenix 5x will track your movement and heart rate when you are sleeping. Thanks Chris
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As far as weightlifting goes, for $16 you can get an app from GeniusWrist that allows you to build workouts and load them into the watch complete with weight, sets, reps, etc. But as of now, none of the information you put in there gets ported over to Garmin Connect. According to Genius Wrist, that is currently their top priority, but truthfully, they could have just been saying that to help prevent me from pressing the refund button. lol
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Fenix 5 can track a weight lifting workout which will track calories burnt and heart rate for the session. The sleeping tracker does not measure breathing, just heart rate and movement.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It only tracks your time asleep and if you are restless or not. There is a app for time and sets for lifting but it is not built in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will monitor your heart rate and body movement. It seems to monitor my workouts. For sleeping it detects movement and again heart rate. It seems to detect deep sleep from restless sleep fairly well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it can track your heart rate while weight lifting. You can also add the various exercises you do in the app for tracking purposes. The watch measures your heart rate and movement while sleeping to determine light or hard sleeping. The tech is somewhat flawed as compared to true sleep monitors but it is still pretty accurate. It was thinking I was asleep when I set on the countertop too.
