For charging, I purchased 2x USB charging dock stations with data sync compatible with Garmin Vivoactive 3/Fenix 5 5s 5x/6 6s 6x smart watch. On Amazon for a cost total of $10.59. The chargers come with 10x rubber boots that cover the charging electrodes on the watch to prevent oxidation, dust/dirt buildup and liquid penetration (to prevent shorting electrodes). After several months of use, I have not had to touch the charging electrodes. Also, I don't wear the watch in the shower or any other intense water environment, with the exception of rain.
