The step tracking feature will use the natural arm motion to while walking and running to count steps. Steps may be tracking during aerobics, kayaking, or horse grooming, but the device was not designed with those specific activities in mind.

A:AnswerThe Forerunner 235 does not direclty track food intake. The Garmin Connect Mobile app can be connected with MyFitnessPal to track calories in and out.
