• Yes. The watch doesn't play music, but can help control the music on your phone. You need to buy a watch that can load music onto the watch if you want to use it for music without your phone. I have the forerunner 645 music, for example, that does this.

• Yes, you will need your phone to listen to music. You can only control the music on the phone from this device. It does not have the ability to download music directly to the watch. Debbie with Garmin
