The watch uses a rechargeable internal lithium-ion battery — you don’t “swap in” a spare battery like a classic watch. Battery life when new: about 16 days in normal smartwatch mode, or ≈ 42 hours in full GPS mode. Lumbers Over time, as with all rechargeable batteries, capacity will degrade. The watch isn’t designed for user-replaceable battery swaps — replacement must go via manufacturer / authorized service. According to reports, a battery/service replacement (outside warranty) may cost around US $600.
