• Yes, it is ready to use right out of the box. We found this one a lot easier to use then our first one. Also has lifetime maps.

• Yes, the nüvi 65LM will operate right out of the box. We do recommend updating the device software and map using out Garmin Express program. You can download Garmin Express to your PC or Mac in the following link: www.garmin.com/express ~JH
