• The Garmin Speak Plus do not contain onboard mapping, meaning that navigational searches require data connectivity to start a route. Once the route has been calculated, the device does not require a data connection to give turn-by-turn directions. However, if you deviate from the route while there is no network connectivity, the device may not be able to calculate a new route until data is restored.
