• A:Answer Be warned it does NOT have the barometric altimeter that the Vivoactive 3 and 4 had. I bought a 5 specifically because my Vivoactive 3 stopped counting flights of stairs because its altimeter broke. Imagine my disappointment when I found out they had removed this useful feature! I returned my Vivoactive 5 for a Venu 3.

• A:Answer Actually the 5 has a nice upgrade over the 3 here. Once you have the golf app on your watch and you turn it on at a golf course it downloads the course automatically. According to the manual it has over 40000 golf course on it. I know it has come up everywhere I have been with the right course.

• A:Answer I would say you can use the Vivo Active 5 without a phone. I've had mine for almost a year and for some reason, I can't even get it to notify me with my texts and stuff and it's still keeping track of my steps, heart rate and sleep.

• A:Answer Yes. Absolutely. Has the quick connects that you simply squeeze like a necklace clasp to remove. I have purchased a multi-pack of extras on Amazon for around $16 and change them out according to what I'm wearing or when I eventually wear out the little band that holds the bigger band down and in place.
