“I have had a vivofit for many years and like that I can read my steps, mileage, and the time right on the device NOT via a separate ap on a phone/computer. This was the reason I chose it over Fitbit. Does the vivofit3 have the same capacity?”

Yes, it does all of that!

One thing to note is, like other vivofit device, the vivofit 3 would need to initially be paired with a compatible smartphone in order to set the time of day.
