Yes, it will track distance, speed, and elevation, but it won't show you a map of your activity without additional accessories (this device does not have GPS).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Garmin Vivosmart does not measure distance traveled when you are on the wheel. That said, there are other devices that you can pair with vivoSmart and get the job done
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can pair it with an Ant+ cycling speed sensor though I haven't done so. I have a Garmin Edge 510 that I use for cycling.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only if your bicycle is equipped with an ANT+ speed sensor, like the Garmin GSC-10 (which has a cadence sensor as well, but the vivosmart only pairs with the speed sensor).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does have an "Activity Tracker" where you would start it like you were going on a run or walk, but does not have a GPS built in. I haven't tried it with cycling, but unless you put the device in a pocket, I do not believe it will accurately track your cycling distance. You might look in to another Garmin product such as the Edge 200 which is a bike "computer" that you mount and uses GPS signals. I do highly recommend Garmin devices as I have two now (this one) and a running GPS watch (FR 620). I hope this helps!
I would recommend:
