• Yes! It is waterproof. I wear it in the pool and shower with NO problems. You just hit record activity before you swim and then upload to the app and edit it to put in the name of your activity. I love that it's completely waterproof. I don't have to worry about anything and I never take it off.

• Yes. According to Garmin, Garmin Vivosmart is water rated up to 5 ATM (or about 50 meters depth) If you hold down on the Vivosmart screen a separate menu will pop up. Choose the icon that looks like a person running. This will track your specific exercise.

• You can wear it when you go swimming. I would just suggest cleaning it when you get home with a mild soap to get off any chemicals. I swim in a salt water pool.

• yes, this product is waterproof not water resistant if I recall correctly up to 6 meters

• Yes, you can the Vivosmart can be worn during virtually any activity; I shower with mine on regularly and have it submerged in water numerous times with no issue.

• It only counts half the distance (every rotation your arm its on takes but not both), but you have the accurate time it took you.
