The product has the option of a heart rate monitor, but you must purchase a monitor and sync it with the device.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought the heart rate monitor band in conjunction with this product, and both times I wore it to my boxing class it was inaccurate. I thought I would get an accurate calorie count if using the heart rate monitor band with it, but calories burned was way too high! After 15 minutes, the heart rate monitor band stopped working the 1st time. Yesterday, it didn't work at all. I'll be returning both products this week.
