• Yes, there is. Press the button and hold until you see "start" then release the button. to stop, do the same thing and you'll see "stop."

• There is a timer built in but it is tied to activities. When you start it, it records an activity in the history of that length of time. However, it is only accurate up to 1 second so it does not do anything beyond seconds and it takes a 3 second press to turn it on and off so the margin of error is +/- 6 seconds.

• Yes there is you just need to hold the side button for 3 seconds and it will start the count and to stop it you just need to press it again
