“Is the heart rate monitor water proof? How sensitive is the step counter? Can the monitor be worn in the pool so it can calculate your heart rate? Can you control the sensitivity of the step counter? I've read a few reviews where some state it calculate steps without you moving but then I've read others where it says the steps are accurate. Which is it?”

The heart rate monitor is water resistant up to 32.9 ft (10 m), however it is not designed to read heart rate data while swimming in water. The vívofit 2 has a water rating of 5ATM which is up to 50 meters. The step accuracy can be adjusted to your individual walking and running stride. Some customers may see some differences in accuracy due to their stride but can also calibrate the steps using the Garmin Connect website/app. ~JH
