In Minnesota if the gas line isn’t up to code (having a shut off valve at the appliance), the licensed professional will charge for adding whatever is necessary. Also, the delivery people are not necessarily licensed professionals, if they aren’t certified/licensed, they aren’t allowed to detach the existing gas dryer and attach the new dryer.
