“When the cycle is complete, does the microwave beep only once, or does it continue to beep until the door is opened?”

• Hi April - The microwave has Cooking Complete Reminder feature. This is a beep that occurs once every minute after the normal cooking cycle has ended. It is designed to remind you when the cooking time has completed. Begins 1 minute after the "Cooking Complete Signal". This is different from the "Cooking Complete Signal" which is 4 beeps heard only once and directly at the end of the cooking cycle. To terminate 'cooking complete reminder', touch Clear/Off or open the door. Also, this model has Sound On/Off option. Press SOUND pad for mute or normal. Thanks for your interest! Sue

• It chimes more than once but will then stop before you open the door. Someone else here said you can mute the beep but I just bought this and don't see that feature mentioned anywhere, which is too bad because the beep is fairly loud and obnoxious
