Hi there, we're so sorry to hear your turntable has been screeching. This is never what we want to see for our consumers so we can imagine how worrisome this is. We first suggest the following tips: 1) Check the turntable to make sure it is placed right side up. If the turntable plate is upside down it will drag on the floor of the microwave. 2) Check to make sure that there is no food or debris under the "wheels" of the turntable ring. Food can prevent the wheels from moving forward. Be certain you are pressing a cook function rather than a timer function. 3) If the microwave has a turntable on/off feature make sure the turntable was not inadvertently turned off. Try depressing the turntable on/off pad to re-engage the turntable. If the problem persists, we recommend scheduling service with a certified GE Appliances technician that will be able to accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. You can do so by calling GE Appliance Service at 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737). We hope this is found useful and we're wishing you the best. - Guy@GEA
