Hello Home2 - If a power failure should occur, a microwave, depending on the model, may display a "PF", "888" or "8888" code. It is possible to see this display upon initial installation or after power was restored due to a power failure. Both display codes can be cancelled and normal operation resumed by touching the CLEAR pad. You may now reset the clock on models so equipped. - TREY@GEA
