“Bought microwave last wk. Door very difficult to open. Thumb hurts. Arthritis. When press down on latch microwave slides around, & must try again to open. Can I put something under microwave? It's on a granite counter.”

use your knuckle to press the OPEN button. Should be ok to put some of that gripper stuff under it. good luck!

It is best to open the door by pressing the center of door latch release. When pressing in areas off center and further from center, the door latch is more difficult to operate. You can place on a non-skid pad, if necessary. Keep in touch! Sue
